St Peter's Woodlands Grammar School

A modern marketing approach

High quality content and digital marketing yields results for SPW

Project / St Peter's Woodlands Grammar School

St Peter’s Woodlands Grammar School is a leader in early learning and primary education located in Glenelg. Offering a progressive education, the school aims to provide the right care and environment for young people to thrive.

Following the development of an extensive marketing strategy in 2016, the school acknowledged a need to shift its communication with parents and marketing to new families to digital channels. The school also wanted to better reflect its leadership position and brand values to the community.

The marketing strategy for SPW involved gaining insights from the senior leadership team, teaching team and of parents of the school. During 2016/17, the emphasis of the implementation was introducing new digital communication for current parents and over-hauling all of the marketing collateral, including the prospectus and brand video.

During 2018 FULLER has worked with SPW to introduce ‘SPW Live’, a series of content blogs covering leading education and topical issues for parents of young children. In conjunction, a range of digital marketing has been introduced, including Google AdWords, Google Display Advertising and Facebook advertising to promote the school and encourage new families to come and see the school for themselves.

Following the brand strategy, FULLER has created:

  • New brand video
  • New school prospectus
  • SPW Live content blogs
  • Digital marketing

The combination of content and digital marketing is yielding good results for SPW on a modest marketing budget. In the past 18 months, the strategy has led to 82,000 more visits to the SPW website, more than half from new users, with people spending more than 2 minutes on average on the site. A number of the SPW Live content blogs have reached between 15-25,000 users, with circa 700 clicks. The end result for the school is a steady stream of enquiry and tour bookings, and full enrolments for the early learning centre and reception for the next 2 years.
