Fuller creates ‘Showmo’ for the Royal Adelaide Show

Developed by Fuller for the Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society of South Australia (RA&HS), the integrated campaign captures the anticipation, nostalgia and shared experiences that make the Show part of South Australian culture while encouraging visitors to plan their visit before the moments they look forward to each year, pass them by.

Fuller Senior Creative Joshua Newnes said the campaign focused on understanding the emotional connection people had with the Show and the moment when “we should go” becomes “we can’t miss it”.

“When we looked at the behaviour, we realised people weren’t missing the Show because they didn’t care. They were missing it because life got busy, they put off making plans, or they assumed there would always be another chance.

“That led us to a simple insight: people don’t regret going to the Show. They regret missing it. Showmo gave us a memorable way to capture that Show feeling – the excitement, anticipation and nostalgia of an experience people have shared for generations.

“You don’t need to convince South Australians to love the Show. You just need to remind them how they’ll feel if they miss it.”

From Showbags and carnival rides to livestock competitions, Dagwood Dogs and family traditions, the Showmo creative celebrates the unmistakable moments that make the Royal Adelaide Show one of South Australia’s most anticipated annual events.

The campaign was brought to life by the competitors, volunteers and visitors who make the Show what it is. The distinctive visual treatment, led by Head of Art & Design Nerissa Douglas, paired bold colour with candid, human-centred moments, balancing nostalgia with the energy, colour and character that define the event.

The campaign spans television, radio, outdoor, digital, social media, public relations and in-store activity, supported by photography and video production filmed on location at the Adelaide Showground.

Royal Adelaide Show Head of Partnerships and Marketing Jordan Philp said the campaign reflected the unique place the event held in the lives of South Australians.

“The Royal Adelaide Show is much more than a day out. It’s an annual tradition that brings generations together through shared experiences that simply can’t be recreated anywhere else,” Philp said.

“Showmo captures that feeling perfectly. It reminds people that some experiences are worth planning ahead for, while also helping visitors secure the best value and make the most of everything the Show has to offer.”

The Royal Adelaide Show is South Australia’s biggest event, celebrating the best the state has to offer. Held at the Adelaide Showground, the Show brings together agriculture, competitions, entertainment, food and timeless family experiences.
