Brand
A brand is a living thing. We build it that way.
A brand is more than a logo or a colour palette. It’s the sum of every experience, every impression, and every interaction an organisation creates. At its best, a brand has memory, hope and emotional weight. It leaves people feeling something.
We build brands from the inside out – informed by genuine understanding and shaped through strategy, language, design and expression that all move together seamlessly to tell a holistic story. Because strategy without creative thinking remains theoretical, and creative without strategy rarely lasts.
Every decision has a role to play. A mark, a message, a typeface, a tone of voice, a digital experience. Nothing is arbitrary. The strongest brands feel clear, consistent and unmistakably themselves wherever people encounter them.
We uncover what’s already true about a brand, then give it form, language and life.
FAQs
How long does a brand project typically take?
Most brand projects run between three and six months, depending on scope and organisational complexity. We don’t rush the discovery stage — the quality of the thinking shapes everything that follows.
Smaller pieces of work, like a campaign or a website refresh, move considerably faster. Either way you’ll have a stage-by-stage timeline before anything starts.
What does the strategy phase involve?
It starts with research. Depending on the brief that might mean stakeholder interviews, customer or community research, category and competitor analysis, or brand measurement to establish a baseline.
From there we work with you to agree a position, the audiences that matter, a message architecture and a set of measures — so the creative work that follows has something firm to stand on.
Do you work on brand refreshes as well as new brands?
Yes, and refreshes are a large part of what we do. Plenty of organisations don’t need to start again — they need clarity about what’s already true, and a system that holds together everywhere people encounter them.
Part of our job early on is telling you honestly which of the two you’re actually looking at.
What is sonic branding and do we need it?
Sonic branding is the audio expression of a brand - from sound design through to music systems and mnemonic devices. Not every organisation needs it, but for brands with a strong digital, film or broadcast presence it can become a powerful recognition tool.
