The Brief

Raising awareness with a new brand for Palliative Care.

  • Brand Research + Consumer Insights
  • Brand Strategy + Identity

Awareness of palliative care in the community remains limited, largely due to a reluctance to acknowledge its importance until it becomes necessary, coupled with insufficient information on how and when to access it.

This lack of awareness often results in people with life-limiting illnesses, along with their families, missing out on essential palliative care services or accessing them only at a very late stage – if at all.

To address this, a significant Federal Government grant enabled SA Health to design, test, and refine a new model for end-of-life service navigation through the Palliative Care Navigation Pilot.

The Partnership

The Department for Health and Wellbeing’s End of Life Care team partnered with Fuller to develop a comprehensive brand for the initiative: Palliative Care Connect.

This partnership involved crafting key messaging, including a brand story, tagline, and naming convention, as well as a visual brand identity and execution examples to guide public rollout.

The Name

The brand name, Palliative Care Connect, and its tagline, Find Your Way, emerged from a collaborative discovery process, culminating in a workshop with key stakeholders. The visual identity was crafted to align with the messaging and story, emphasising the program’s purpose.

The Rollout

The brand has since been applied to key materials, including a consumer-facing website, and a statewide awareness campaign.

The Results

Since the brand was launched, Palliative Care Connect has successfully supported hundreds of patients and their families.
