Big smiles all round at the AADC awards

  • 3 October 2022

As an agency that prides itself on meeting our client’s goals and needs, awards have never been a big part of what we do, or why we do it.

But when a piece of work stands out among our peers enough to nab an award, it’s the sprinkles on top of a deliciously iced cake!

This year, Fuller went home from the 45th Adelaide Advertising and Design Club (AADC) Awards with a couple of cakes laced with sprinkles, winning two gongs for our work, and we couldn’t be more proud of our team of winners.

Speaking of cake, our first award for the night went to Fuller’s Senior Graphic Designer, Nerissa Douglas, who won the Brand Identity: Small Boutique Award for Big Mouth and the Shiny Brights.

Big Mouth and the Shiny Brights is an exciting new brand we created for a local children’s dentist, designed to reposition the daunting dentist experience into something fun and engaging for children.

The new brand identity captured business-owner Dr Marko Milosevic’s larger-than-life personality and his energetic and imaginative approach to dentistry. It has since helped his little customers feel comfortable about showing off their cheeky chompers in the dentist chair.

Our second award for the night went to Fuller’s Senior Communications Consultant, Eloise Richards, who was awarded the For Good: Diversity & Inclusion Award for her work Moving Beyond ‘Box-ticking’  – a guide on how marketing and communications can be used as a tool for social change.

Eloise began the project as part of the Fuller Fellowship, a 12-month program for staff members to undertake a travel and research study in an area of professional interest.

Eloise’s practical guide kick-started a program of change that helped Fuller realise the benefits of inclusion and diversity across the agency.

In the past year alone, 50 per cent of Fuller’s new hires were born outside Australia, hailing from China, Columbia, the UK and India.

With an empowered and highly engaged team, diversity and inclusion best-practice is placed at the forefront of all our client work; from copywriting, to production, and design.

And of course, no awards night would be complete without a celebration…captured on rolls of film!

As always, thank you to our clients for providing us with the opportunity to flex our creative muscles, and cheers to the AADC for recognising great work in the Adelaide design community.

Here’s to the 46th Awards.
