At the 48th Annual AADC Awards, Fuller closed out another standout year with three significant recognitions, including the prestigious Master’s Chair for Best in Craft, further cementing its place among Australia’s leading creative agencies.
Fuller received the award for Best Brand Identity – Large Corporate for its rebrand for Wine Australia’s industry body, Australian Wine. Led by Head of Art and Design Nerissa Douglas, the project delivered a refined and contemporary global identity for one of Australia’s most recognisable industries. With a refreshed visual system designed to perform seamlessly across digital, print, packaging and comms, the brand positions Wine Australia with clarity and confidence for international growth.
“Nerissa earned that award more than anyone in the room,” said Managing Director Will Fuller. “Her tenacity, creative thinking and care for the final outcome is a true reflection of her craft.”
The Best Typography – Static award went to Fuller for its bespoke typeface created for the Adelaide Football Club. The typeface was developed to reflect the club’s proud heritage while looking to the future, bringing strength, clarity and character to the Crows’ brand across merchandise, digital and print.
Sean Kane, who recently wrapped up his time as Fuller’s Head of Design to return to freelancing and custom type design, was also awarded the Master’s Chair for Best in Craft for his work on the typeface, which was celebrated as the standout craft achievement of the night. The design flexes from narrow to wide, upright to italic, delivering presence and clarity across screens, social, broadcast and merchandise. It set a new standard for typographic execution in a sporting context.
“It was a fitting bookend to Sean’s time at Fuller to pick up the top gong for typography,” said Will Fuller. “These awards are a testament to the skill, care and dedication of our team.”
