The University of South Australia’s School of Art, Architecture and Design needed to boost interest in its undergraduate Architecture degree to International Students.
FULLER’s creative team took a simple approach to the brief: design a poster that will sit in an International Agent’s office and stand out amongst national and international competitors to attract international students to study this degree in Adelaide.
High level visual appeal on a low budget
The campaign used a bold key line illustration style, highlighting specific architecture and lifestyle attributes of Adelaide, while applying a contemporary, clean and aspirational look and feel. Only three colours were used: the University’s Reflex Blue, cool grey and a fluoro orange accent, proving that simplicity and good design always wins.
Student enquiry on the rise
Since the distribution of the poster the School of Architecture has received a positive response from international students and enquiry about the course has increased.
The poster design also captured the attention of Adelaide’s design elite, winning one of nine Design Category awards and went on to take out the overall 2016 Chair for Best Design at the 2016 Adelaide Advertising and Design Club (AADC) Awards.
